Committees

We would love to have you join us in one of the committees here at Harbor Ridge Estates. Our community is constantly evolving and we truly value the insight and diverse perspectives that our community members have to offer. If you are looking for a way to get involved and feel more connected, why not volunteer for one of our committees and help make a positive impact on this beautiful place we call home? Currently, the Architectural Control Committee and the Landscape Committee are in need of volunteers to participate in small landscaping projects, help plan and lead community activities, and work with the Board of Trustees on funded major projects that will continue to improve and maintain the appearance of Harbor Ridge Estates. We’d also love to hear your ideas for any other committees you think might be beneficial to our community.

If you have ideas to share and would like to make a difference in our community by joining one of our committees, please feel free to contact Leah Smith at Management Solutions NW.

Community Events Committee

The Community Events Committee is a group of homeowner volunteers that supports and oversees putting together community HOA-sponsored family-friendly events as well as making sure our residents know of other events happening in our community. Our purpose is to create opportunities for neighbors to get together and create stronger community. We are always looking for volunteers to be part of our committee. If you are interested in being part of this amazing and fun committee please join us!

Architectural Control Committee (ACC)

The ACC is comprised of homeowner volunteers whose sole purpose is to maintain the quality and value of the entire Harbor Ridge Estates property. By taking into consideration the aesthetic impact of all exterior construction, landscape and color modification requests, the ACC looks to enhance the desirability of HRE now and into the future.

Landscape Committee

The Landscape Committee homeowner volunteers oversee the maintenance of all 10 Harbor Ridge Estates common areas and entrances. They recommend repairs and improvements to the appearance and safety of our common areas and entrances while ensuring responsible use of HRE resources. The Landscape Committee works closely with the contracted landscape company for routine maintenance and special projects.

Get to Know Your Neighbors

Know the people and vehicles that belong on your street, and pay attention to anything out-of-the-ordinary.

Secure Your Property

Do your best to ensure that your own home, vehicle, and property are not an easy target for vandals and burglars. Add locks, lights, fences, security systems, etc. Do what you can to protect your own home.

Identify and Report Activities

Make the call to police if you see any suspicious activity on your street, and ALWAYS report crimes that have occurred to you or your property.

In these times of economic distress, many people are concerned about the threat of rising crime in their communities. Fortunately, there are ways to help protect your home and your neighborhood from crime. From simple steps like keeping your doors locked to starting a Neighborhood Watch program, there are plenty of things you can do to prevent crime.

Work with your neighbors to keep your neighborhood clean and orderly. Keep spare keys with a trusted neighbor or nearby shopkeeper, not under a doormat or planter, on a ledge, or in the mailbox. Set timers on lights when you’re away from home or your business is closed, so they appear to be occupied. Illuminate or eliminate places an intruder might hide: the spaces between trees or shrubs, stairwells, alleys, hallways, and entryways. There has never been a more important time for citizens to work together to prevent crime.
